Title: Safety Driving Requirements and Road Test Regulations for Autonomous Vehicles (Partially Revised)

Effective Date: March 22, 2021

Introduction

Pursuant to Article 26-2(3) of the Road Vehicles Act, this regulation establishes safety driving requirements for autonomous vehicles, including detailed road test criteria and verification methods. The main revisions include classifying autonomous vehicles into three categories (A, B, and C), each subject to distinct approval and technical requirements.

Introduction

Based on Regulation (EU) 2019/631, the EU adopted Implementing Decision (EU) 2020/1167 on August 6, 2020, recognizing 48V/12V DC converters used in traditional internal combustion engine and hybrid vehicles as an innovative energy-saving technology under carbon emission regulations. Manufacturers adopting this technology may apply for reductions in their EU fleet CO2 emission targets.

Sweden

Topic: Subsidy for Low-Emission Vehicles

Introduction

This amendment raises the CO2 emission threshold for "super-green vehicles" from 70g/km to 60g/km. Vehicles emitting no more than 60g/km are eligible for subsidies calculated under the 2017:1334 Super-Green Vehicle Ordinance, with a maximum subsidy of SEK 45,000. Additionally, the maximum subsidy for zero-emission vehicles (0g/km) has been increased from SEK 60,000 to SEK 70,000.

 

 

United Kingdom

Introduction

Under the powers granted by the Automated and Electric Vehicles (AEV) Act 2018, the UK government plans to introduce secondary legislation regulating private electric vehicle charging facilities. The regulations will require privately sold or installed EV charge points in the UK to possess smart functionality and meet minimum device-level standards. A draft text will be released for public consultation, with legislation expected later this year following the governments review of feedback between June and July 2021.
